Real A

Real A has been rapping since he was 12. He moved from the Congo to Sighthill, Glasgow, and soon after discovered a love for Hip Hop. He has performed at the Scottish parliament in front of MSPs and as part of refugee awareness events, he has also performed for Prince Charles and has featured as part of a BBC 1 news report about underprivileged young people living in Glasgow and featured in a BBC documentary celebrating the 60th anniversary of the European Court of Civil Rights, as well as appearing on Children in Need.

artist-imageIn 2009, Real A set up Hectic Beats to provide opportunities to under-priveleged artists and promote Scottish hip hop in general. He is currently working with Dyslexia Scotland to promote dyslexia awareness amongst young people and is working with local mcs in Glasgow to create an album in conjunction with The Prince’s Trust.
