About Hectic Beats
Hectic Beats record label was created by Real A in 2009 as a means of promoting young under-priveleged artists, initially in Glasgow, and also as a platform for raising awareness of socially conscious issues, as well as promoting Scottish hip hop in general.
Initially funded by The Prince’s Scottish Youth Business Trust (PSYBT) and with earlier assistance from Barnardo’s, Hectic Beats is now also working with Dyslexia Scotland by raising awareness of dyslexia amongst young people in Scotland and also with The Prince’s Trust by creating an album with local mcs and producers, the proceeds from which will go into music projects in deprived areas of the city of Glasgow.
